1. How much is school tuition?

Since everyone has their own curriculum preferences, please contact me first. According to your situation and needs, I will provide you the most effective and affordable plan.

2. What should I do before taking classes ?

If you are interested in my lessons, you can contact me through this website or on JLMS' Facebook page.

 

What kind of information should I provide?

  • Tell me about yourself. Why is this important?

Since I am always doing research and making teaching materials to match your background and needs, it’s important to give me as much information as possible. While I have already custom-created a wide range of teaching materials, I always spend a lot of time customizing lessons for each and every student outside of class time. I take this job very seriously!

  • What are your goals in learning Mandarin?

  • Have you ever learned Mandarin before? Where and for how long?

  • What do you want to learn?

  • Any special requirements? For example: you want me to only teach in Mandarin.

 

We will arrange a meeting (on Skype, FaceTime, or in person) in which I will give you many suggestions, and from there, we can arrange the classes together.

3. How to decide the frequency of lessons?

Depending on your goals as a student, for general and business purposes, I recommend 2-3 times or ( 3-4.5 hours) per week; for test preparation purposes, I recommend having an intensive course at least a month before the test (4.5-8 hours) per week.

Nonetheless, my courses are tailored to the specific needs of students, so just get in touch with me and explain to me your situation.

Recommendation 

  • General / Business purpose : 2-3 times  (total 3-4.5 hours per week)

  • Test preparation : total 4.5-8 hours per week

  • Junior program: 2-4 times per week (depending on the needs of student)

4. Where is the class venue?

Class venue is flexible to meet your need in Taipei.
For one on one lesson, I recommend having lessons in a café, which is mutually accessible.

5. How to reschedule?

You can reschedule with a simple phone call or send me an e-mail or message when you know that you cannot attend (24 hour noticed is required)

6. Payment

  • How can I pay for my Chinese program?

You can pay by bank transfer, Paypal, or cash.

 

  • When should I make payment?

Once you confirm the program, to ensure your place in JLMS’s schedule, please make a minimum payment of 4 lessons before you begin your course.

 

  • How do I know payment has been received?

Once you make the payment, please let me know, and I will confirm with you if the payment has been received.
